An open species means that anyone can make one and use them for free. Either by creating them yourself or by another artist.
While Drabbeas are an open species, there are some design rules about what is required, allowed and not allowed. These are to keep the species recognizable and their unique traits. I've made f2u bases that you can use to make your own Drabbea. You can find them under Drabbea Species > Free Bases.
These are just for a general overview. For example, Northern Drabbeas are often larger than Southern Drabbeas. Also an example for fur colors: Southern Drabbeas never have black or very dark fur. Northerns don't have the bright colors.
If the Drabbea has both southern and northern traits, they´re a Meridian Drabbea.
Yes, absolutely. You can give your Drabbea any pronouns you want (she, he, they, it, neopronouns, xenopronouns, ...).
Yes, you can create NSFW art and media. This Drabbea must be at least 25 years of age and don´t draw feral NSFW. Also drawing feral Drabbeas is against the design rules.
Yes, you can make gore. Just keep in mind that the blood of Drabbeas usually fluoresces.
