Reproduction & Life

Reproduction

Drabbeas have only one biological gender, but still need a mate for reproduction purposes. This means that they always have both genitalia of male and female mammals known on earth. Unlike mammals they lay two to three eggs. These hatch after about 60 days.

The southern and northern genetic traits are both very dominant. Only 1 out of 25 eggs is a Meridian Drabbea. So the chance of a meridian egg is about 4%.

Age & Growth

newborn

Drabbeas, who just have hatched are blind for the first few days and their spikes are not fluorescing yet. This is mainly a problem for the Drabbeas, who live in the north, where many dangerous species live.

0 - 5 young child

Young children stay close with their parents while learning the first basic things (e.g.: walking and speaking their first words). They don´t leave the cave at this age.

6 - 15 = child

These Drabbeas love exploring the caves, tunnels and outside with other Drabbeas in their age or slightly older often without parents.

16- 22 = teenager

The Drabbeas act like a human teenager. They may not hear to any mature ones and mainly interact with Drabbeas at the same age. Also they are able to reproduce now.

23 - 24 = young adult

They are not teenagers anymore but are not mature yet.

25+ = adult

The Drabbea will stop growing after the age of 25 years. They now count as an adult.

Lifespan

Drabbeas can live from 250 to 300 years. While dangerous species such as Moturms live in the north, Drabbeas of the North are often killed before they reach old age.
